About the role

The Process Operator is responsible for safely manufacturing, processing, packaging, and handling ink products and intermediates while following established operating procedures. This position operates manufacturing equipment, maintains product quality, supports production operations, and ensures a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

Manufacture inks and intermediates by following standard operating procedures (SOPs). Operate mixers, pumps, filters, hoists, forklifts, parts washers, and other production equipment. Charge raw materials, process batches, monitor production, and record process data. Package products into gallon containers, pails, drums, and totes. Load, unload, clean, and maintain production equipment. Troubleshoot production issues to ensure product quality and process efficiency. Perform daily housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized work area. Follow all environmental, health, and safety requirements when handling chemicals and hazardous materials. Maintain compliance with production, quality, and safety standards. Assist other production areas as needed and participate in cross-functional training. Maintain reliable attendance and support operational needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Manufacturing or chemical processing experience preferred. Forklift experience is a plus. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math skills, including percentages and measurements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to troubleshoot production issues. Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 90% of the workday. Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds. Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical.
