About the role
The Opportunity Our client is a growing Canadian manufacturing organization operating in a fast‑paced, operationally driven environment is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Senior Financial Analyst with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, solid ERP experience, and the ability to support financial analysis and reporting requirements.
This is a highly hands‑on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the business, working directly with plant and operations teams, and driving performance through data‑driven analysis.
Please note: this role is fully onsite (5 days per week).
Key Responsibilities: Manage and perform full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations) Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements Perform detailed financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making Conduct cost and variance analysis and provide actionable insights Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations Manage government remittances (HST/GST, payroll taxes, and other statutory filings) Support and collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel tools for reporting, analysis, and data management
Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) Strong experience with Accounting ERP systems Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas, data analysis) Experience with cost accounting and variance analysis Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally CPA designation or progress toward CPA is considered an asset.
