About the role

About Circle Wellness

Circle Wellness is the world's first private, self-guided thermal spa. Founded by Paul Hennessey, our spas draw on open-concept Korean bathing, meditation practices, and the thermal traditions of Japan and Northern Europe. Every session is entirely private and taken at your own pace. Paul's business partner and Circle Wellness CEO, Scott Emslie, has built a number of event and hospitality businesses and is an expert in driving strategic growth and creating impactful guest and employee experiences. Our flagship on Granville Island pioneered the private thermal circuit. Circle Wellness is now preparing to open its first U.S. location in Fremont, Seattle.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications and working closely with the Creative Director, the Social & Content Lead is the creative lead for how Circle Wellness shows up across our social channels. This is both a creative strategy and execution role. You bring the ideas and the creative range, and you produce polished, on-brand work. Day to day, you plan and run photoshoots, shoot and edit video, create content with a clear point of view that aligns with our brand, own our social calendar, and concept and create ad creative informed by performance.

This is a full-time, in-office position at our Granville Island office.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Production (all locations)

Bring a clear creative point of view to everything we make, and raise the standard of our content over time. Plan and coordinate photoshoots end to end: storyboard concepts, coordinate with vendors and creators, and ensure everything we need is captured on the day. Shoot, edit, and curate content including short-form video, graphics, and copy that inspire or educate our audience. Select and edit the strongest content from our shoots for use across social and other channels. Brief and direct external photographers, videographers, and creators when we bring in additional support. Support general marketing content creation as needed, such as newsletters and brand assets.

Social Media Management (all locations)

Shape our monthly social content plan to support business and spa needs. Own the social calendar: plan, write captions, schedule, and post to maintain a consistent and engaging presence. Manage end-to-end digital engagement. Inbound: respond to comments and DMs in a timely, brand-aligned manner. Outbound: proactively interact with relevant accounts and conversations to expand reach and build connection with our target audience. Track channel performance and surface insights, with recommendations for what to try next.

Ad Creative & Paid Social (all locations)

Concept and produce ad creative informed by performance data. Work closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist to identify high-performing organic content to repurpose for paid, and to develop paid-first creative. Bring an organic-to-paid perspective so our best content shapes future ad creative. Recommend creative refreshes and help interpret what is resonating, so the Director and Digital Marketing Specialist can act on it.

Vancouver Partnerships

Build and maintain a collective of values-aligned brand partnerships across wellness, hospitality, lifestyle, fitness, and arts. Develop corporate partnership initiatives that drive awareness, credibility, and bookings. Build relationships with local founders, creators, and community leaders. Support high-impact charitable partnerships.

Vancouver Ambassadors

Identify and recruit local ambassadors. Build relationships with the local ambassador group, ensuring they are engaged and excited about the program. Assess ambassador performance and impact in collaboration with the Director of Marketing.

Requirements

4+ years in content creation and social media, with a standout portfolio, ideally for a lifestyle, wellness, hospitality, or community-driven brand. A strong creative point of view and the range to take a brief and deliver polished, on-brand work with minimal revision. Proven ability to plan and run photoshoots: storyboarding, vendor coordination, and directing a shoot to capture the content you need. Strong video skills, comfortable both shooting and editing polished short-form video. Experience in graphic design. Able to own a social calendar end to end, from creative concept to captions to publishing. Comfortable reading performance data and turning it into stronger creative. Highly self-directed, with excellent communication and the ability to work cross-functionally. Experience with paid social creative.

Beneficial but not required

Experience working in the health, wellness, or hospitality industry. Experience in new market entry.
