About the role

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Manager, Consumer Marketing on a permanent basis.

We are seeking a results-oriented, relationship-driven marketing leader. In this role, you’ll lead strategic marketing campaigns that come to life in gas bars, food stores, pharmacies, and liquor stores across Western Canada. You’ll see the direct results of your work on shelves, signs, and screens across the Co-op Retailing System. If you are looking to make a difference as part of a values-driven organization, we encourage you to apply!

This position is a hybrid opportunity, with members of the marketing leadership team coming into the office approximately twice a week. The successful candidate will be based in commuting distance of Saskatoon, SK.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with marketing peers and commodity teams to align on strategic marketing plans, leveraging insights to challenge the status quo and uncover untapped opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted strategic partner to commodity leaders and stakeholders. Champion a unified voice across all consumer touchpoints (e.g., Food, Home and Building, Pharmacy, Gas Bar, Liquor), leading cross-functional efforts to deliver consistent, customer-centric messaging.
  • Manage marketing budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational KPIs and long-term business growth.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals, building capability, driving accountability, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Who you’ll work with:

Importantly, this role also works hand-in-hand with commodity and business leaders to deliver a customer-centric approach to marketing programs and campaigns designed to propel sales strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning marketing team recognized by the Retail Council of Canada, Canadian Agri-food Marketers Alliance, and International Association of Business Communicators.

Why it matters:

We help local Co-ops grow and thrive by offering a range of professional services, including marketing, market research, information technology, human resources, accounting, risk management and business development.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in marketing leadership and:

  • Have experience leading a team of direct reports.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or journalism (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have affiliation with marketing and communications professional bodies (considered an asset).
  • Have an interest in marketing technology trends and knowledge of project management principles.

What we offer:
