Job Title: DevOps Software Engineer
Locations : Remote Canada
Reports to : Director, Cloud Operations
A quick snapshot… Conga is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us establish and employ Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery patterns and collaboratively work with other members to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent attention to details, be self-organized and have a passion for DevOps. You should be able to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Why it’s a big deal… An individual choosing to join the DevOps team at Conga will have the unique opportunity to solve the challenges involved in the design and development of world-class document generation and revenue lifecycle solutions. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on work in pipelines, cloud platforms, and observability stacks. Are you the person we’re looking for? Education and Related Experience . Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 5+ years of hands-on experience in architecting and building scalable software solutions, preferably including compute-intensive workloads, and delivering solutions with high availability.
Core Technical Strengths
- 5+ years of combined DevOps/SRE + software engineering
- Strong programming proficiency in at least one language: .NET, Golang, Python, Java, NodeJS, or JavaScript.
- Strong experience with Terraform.
- Hands-on with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
- Experience with AWS or Azure services, and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS).
- Good experience with OpenTelemetry, LGTM stack, or commercial tools like New Relic/DataDog/Dynatrace.
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices and secure software delivery.
- Good understanding of synthetic monitoring, SLI/SLOs, and error budgets.
Here’s What Will Give You An Edge… Certifications. Cloud certification in AWS/Azure/Kubernetes
Working Experience. Experience architecting or facilitating the deployment of solutions on Kubernetes, architecting Cloud-based solutions that employ fault tolerance functionality and disaster recovery capabilities. Experience designing solutions that implement security frameworks such as OAuth, WS-Security, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, Agile software development, preferably with working experience using solutions including Atlassian Jira.
