Wills & Estates Lawyer ( Downtown Toronto)
We are a successful, innovative, and team-oriented law firm seeking an experienced Wills & Estates Lawyer to join our downtown Toronto office. This role offers the rare opportunity to help build and expand our Toronto Wills & Estates practice , working closely with our established team in Calgary.
This is an excellent fit for a lawyer who values professional autonomy, technical excellence, and the ability to foster long-lasting client relationships within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. We welcome applications from senior associates, junior partners, or seasoned counsel .
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical expertise in Wills & Estates law while delivering exceptional client service.
- Maintain deep and current knowledge of Ontario Wills & Estates legislation and best practices.
- Develop customized and comprehensive estate plans, including drafting Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney that optimize financial outcomes and support family harmony.
- Advise a wide range of clients, including ultra-high-net-worth individuals, professionals, business owners, and blended families.
- Focus on complex estate planning matters, including trusts, business succession planning, and post-mortem tax strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5-6+ years of experience in Trusts, Wills & Estates law.
- TEP designation (or actively pursuing it) is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage strict or competing deadlines.
- Exceptional analytical abilities and strong written and verbal communication skills.
