The purpose of the Building and Property Services Lead (Terminal Lead) is to support the Terminal in its day-to-day operation. Your goal will be to maintaining a safe and organized environment for all staff to work in. This will include coordinating and managing contractors and ensuring all necessary repairs are made in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Support with yard maintenance. This will include garbage cleanup, yard lighting, gate maintenance & trouble shooting, snow/ice removal and winter preparation.
• Support with office and building maintenance. This will include maintaining and periodic test of all fire monitoring equipment, change out ceiling tiles, maintaining lighting and general repairs/installation of office equipment.
• Work with vendors to ensure safe operations in a cost-effective manner.
• Maintain a high level of security of the terminal supporting Birds Eye.
• Support Bison Transport policies and procedures by engaging in the resolution of any safety concerns.
• Liaison between Maintenance Coordinators, Dock Coordinators, Shop Manager & Dock Manager.
• Participate and make necessary repairs from all inspections.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned/required.

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

• Demonstrated experience in facility and property maintenance, including basic repairs and upkeep.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams such as Maintenance Coordinators and Dock Team Members.
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive working relationships across departments.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Adaptable and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically able to perform manual labor and outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Forklift training or certification is considered an asset.
• First Aid certification is considered an asset.

This position is subject to a Monday to Friday schedule working an 8 hour shift. This job is classified under NOC Code: 73201.
