Senior Systems Analyst (ID#5449)
About the role
New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to support our client on a healthcare systems implementation and optimization initiative. The Systems Analyst will support analysis, design, build, validation, implementation, and production support activities for clinical workflows and healthcare information systems.
This role requires strong healthcare systems analysis experience, hands-on Cerner implementation knowledge, and the ability to work with clinical, technical, and project teams to support safe, reliable, and sustainable patient care systems. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with Surgical Patient Registry, surgical inventory and equipment configuration, Cerner front-end and back-end systems, JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence, and implementation support including cutover and go-live activities.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and design clinical and operational workflows to support healthcare system implementation and optimization. Update and maintain clinic-specific Data Collection Workbooks. Perform impact analysis and manage related JIRA tickets. Build, configure, and validate system builds across various domains. Support Surgical Patient Registry workflows and downstream interface requirements. Support surgical inventory, item, and equipment configuration activities. Work with Cerner front-end and back-end systems to support implementation, configuration, validation, and issue resolution. Provide implementation support, including cutover planning, go-live support, and post-implementation stabilization. Troubleshoot, problem-solve, and address production issues. Collaborate with clinical, technical, project, and operational stakeholders. Maintain documentation using tools such as SharePoint and Confluence. Support knowledge transfer and ensure documentation is accurate, current, and accessible. Work remotely from within Canada and align to Pacific Time business hours. Provide support outside regular business hours when required for project activities.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst Strong experience analyzing and designing clinical or operational workflows. Extensive knowledge of Surgical Patient Registry and related downstream interfaces. Thorough understanding of surgical inventory, items, and equipment configurations. Strong knowledge of both front-end and back-end Cerner systems. Solid Cerner implementation experience. Experience building, validating, testing, and supporting clinical system configurations. Experience supporting cutover, go-live, and production stabilization activities. Experience performing impact analysis and managing JIRA tickets. Extensive experience with SharePoint, Confluence, and JIRA. Strong documentation, communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with clinical, technical, and project teams. Previous experience supporting surgical, oncology, acute care, or regional health authority environments is an asset.
