Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their Technology, Data & Digital Transformation team. This role focuses on advancing data enablement and visualization capabilities across the organization through strong analytics, robust data modeling, and impactful reporting solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening data quality, governance, and performance insights across the business.
Principal tasks and responsibilities include:
· Support and maintain data quality initiatives by tracing and validating ETL data pipelines, primarily using SQL
· Translate non-technical business requirements into analytical designs that developers can build and support
· Define and implement data validation and reconciliation frameworks for project data
· Identify data quality gaps and embed validation checks into workflows
· Develop and maintain performance calculation models including IRR, benchmarks, quartiles, and related financial metrics
· Establish practical standards documentation and reporting templates to improve delivery efficiency
· Design and deliver intuitive Power BI dashboards and reports that simplify complex metrics and support planning, prioritization, and performance tracking
· Align business metrics across Data Engineering and Business Intelligence platforms
· Support data governance initiatives by applying validation and cleansing procedures to maintain accurate and compliant datasets
· Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications and pre-requisites:
· Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
· 5+ years of experience in data analysis or Business Intelligence roles within financial services
· Advanced Power BI skills including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and dashboard design
· Strong foundation in data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance
· Proficiency in SQL for data exploration and validation
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Preferred: Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or Fabric environments; experience leading internal upskilling initiatives; understanding of financial or operational performance metrics
· Nice to have: Private capital industry knowledge, experience with data quality tools, and Python for data wrangling
