Position Summary
Responsible for the provision of respiratory care as established by the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario and the standards of respiratory care of this Hospital.
Qualifications And Experience
- Respiratory Therapy Diploma from an accredited program.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO).
- Current BCLS.
- Current ACLS or commitment to complete within three (3) months of hire.
- NRP an asset.
- Five (5) years recent and relevant experience.
- Pulmonary function testing experience.
Skills/Abilities
- Ability to assess, evaluate and communicate appropriate Respiratory Therapy Care Plans.
- Ability to conduct respiratory tests and treatments.
- Ability to keep accurate records and patient charts.
- Ability to assess patient response to care and to respond appropriately.
- Demonstrates excellent assessment, communication, organization, problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to function both independently and as an inter-professional team member in a crisis and fast paced demanding environment.
- Demonstrates a strong abilities to facilitate patient and family-centered care and establish therapeutic relationships.
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
- Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients, family and staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to the professional growth and development of self and others.

Hours of Work: Available for all shifts including weekends, statutory holidays and on call
