About the role
The firm is seeking a full-time Family Lawyer to join its team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, provide strategic legal advice, draft legal documents, conduct legal research, and represent clients in court proceedings. While the office is located in Port Moody, the role offers flexibility for some remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage family law files from intake to resolution
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Represent clients in court and dispute resolution processes
- Work independently while collaborating with a team-oriented practice
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in family law, including litigation and dispute resolution
- Strong legal research, writing, advocacy, and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of British Columbia family law and court procedures
- Law degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
