Reporting

The Warehouse Technician (Picker) reports directly to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to requisitions by picking material and ensuring that orders are prioritized and processed correctly.
  • Ensuring that picked orders are accurate and that the physical goods match the requisition for product type, quality, quantity, and documentation.
  • Providing input to the Inventory Control Team and working to resolve any stock discrepancies that get discovered during the fulfillment process.
  • Working with the Sales Team to resolve problems and perform value-added work as required.
  • Stocking away residual material after fulfilling an order and ensuring that goods are relocated correctly, in accordance with the ERP system.
  • Assist in compiling information on the receipt or distribution of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies and use this information to compute inventory balance.
  • Assist with receiving, sorting, and stocking material, equipment, merchandise or supplies to shelf locations.
  • Count material, equipment, merchandise and supplies in stock and provide accurate totals to post on electronic inventory records.
  • Follow loss prevention policies and ensure that material gets handled appropriately during fulfillment operations.
  • Ensure the general cleanliness of the warehouse and workspace.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Experience

  • Experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Experience with a computerized inventory system preferred.
  • Aviation experience is considered an asset.
