Senior Accountant
Shared Services Finance Team – Supporting Canadian & U.S. Entities

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our shared Finance team , supporting both Canadian and U.S. business operations. In this role, you’ll be a key partner in driving accurate financial reporting, improving processes, and enabling better decision-making across the organization.
What You’ll Do:

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards. Perform P&L and balance sheet analysis, with a focus on operating costs and recoveries.

Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.

Accounts Receivable & Payable: Oversee AR and AP activities, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing and payments. Partner with Sales and Supply Chain to resolve discrepancies.

Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, prepare weekly AR and cash forecasts, complete bank and credit card reconciliations, process vendor payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.

Compliance & Tax: Manage regulatory filings and remittances, including GST/HST, WSIB, payroll taxes, T4s, and corporate tax, and liaise with the CRA as needed.

Audit & Internal Controls: Act as primary contact for external auditors, prepare supporting documentation, and evaluate internal controls to strengthen processes and mitigate risk.

Ad Hoc Projects: Assist Finance Manager in all aspects of Accounting and Finance as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
- Proven experience leading or supporting an ERP implementation or system upgrade (required).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and regulatory compliance (GST/HST, payroll taxes, corporate tax, etc.).
- Experience managing full-cycle accounting, including AR, AP, month-end close, and cash management.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, Sage 50) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP required).
- Experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment is an asset.
- Experience with multi-entity operations and/or consolidated financial statements is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
