QUALITY MANAGER (F/M/D)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the daily activities of the quality team, including direct supervision of two technicians.
  • Ensure continuity of the quality system, promotes continuous improvement, and supports OpEx initiatives.
  • Leading and participating in internal audits, customer audits, and certification audits
  • Managing and maintaining the quality management system, including FSSC 22000 and other certifications (Kosher, Halal, etc.)
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Overseeing the handling of customer inquiries and complaints, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Supporting raw material approvals and supplier evaluations as part of the supplier management program
  • Leading quality-related communication across departments and representing the quality function in cross-functional meetings
  • Monitoring and reporting on quality performance metrics and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Managing relationships with regulatory authorities and supporting other CAPOL entities on Canadian regulatory matters.

Qualifications

  • With a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, you will bring valuable expertise to the team.
  • A degree in food science or a related field will be considered an asset.
  • Your proficiency in both English and French (oral and written) is essential, as a portion of the interview process will be conducted in English.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is necessary for effective performance in this role.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a major asset, contributing to our operational efficiency.
  • Your strong leadership and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively manage and lead your team.
  • You should demonstrate strong decision-making skills, exercising sound judgment on quality matters.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
