About the Opportunity Join one of Canada's leading healthcare organizations dedicated to saving lives every day. This team is seeking an experienced operational leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of its Lethbridge Donor Centre.
This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced people manager who enjoys leading frontline teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. While healthcare experience is considered an asset, the organization is open to accomplished leaders from retail, hospitality, operations, customer service, distribution, or other service-focused environments who have demonstrated success managing high-performing teams.
Reporting to the Associate Director, you'll lead a team of approximately 13 unionized employees while ensuring the donor centre operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Your Responsibilities You'll oversee the daily operations of the donor centre, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality standards, operational efficiency, and donor safety are consistently achieved. You'll provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and development to a team of approximately 13 unionized employees, including Donor Centre Nurses, Donor Centre Associates, and Team Leads. You'll manage operational budgets, forecasting, supplies, equipment, maintenance, and facility requirements while supporting continuous operational improvement. You'll oversee workforce planning and scheduling while effectively navigating a unionized environment. You'll resolve donor and customer service concerns while continuously enhancing the donor experience. You'll collaborate with Quality Assurance to support audits, non-conformance investigations, corrective actions, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. You'll partner with regional leadership to support operational planning, collection targets, and organizational objectives. You'll foster an inclusive, collaborative workplace culture focused on safety, accountability, and employee engagement.
Skills and Qualifications Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership or management experience leading frontline operational teams. Proven experience coaching, mentoring, and developing employees while driving team performance. Demonstrated operational management experience, including budgeting, resource planning, and financial accountability. Strong customer service background with the ability to manage escalations professionally and effectively. Experience working within a unionized environment is considered a strong asset. Healthcare experience is welcomed but not required. Leadership experience gained in retail, operations, hospitality, logistics, distribution, customer service, or similar environments is highly transferable. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills. Post-secondary education in business, healthcare, or a related discipline is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
