What’s the role? The Head of Finance is the financial leader for Carl Zeiss Vision Canada Inc., responsible for the overall financial stewardship, governance, and performance of the business. This role serves as a strategic partner to Head of Vision Canada and leadership team, providing financial leadership that enables profitable growth, operational excellence, and long‑term sustainability within the Canadian market.

Sound Interesting? Here’s What You’ll Do The Head of Finance oversees all finance and accounting activities for Vision Canada, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, internal controls, compliance, treasury, tax, and risk management.

This role translates complex financial information into clear, actionable insights to support informed decision‑making and execution of business strategy.

As a people leader, the Head of Finance builds and leads a high‑performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement, while ensuring strong partnership with commercial and operational teams across Canada.

Do you qualify? Experience And Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5–10 years of progressive senior finance leadership experience, ideally in complex or multi‑site Canadian organizations.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, FP&A, internal controls, compliance, and balance sheet management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Proven leadership capability with experience building and developing high‑performing teams.
• High integrity, strong ethical standards, and role‑model behavior aligned with ZEISS values.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑influencing skills.

The annual pay range for this position is $128,000 – $159,000 The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
