About the role

As an Emissions Strategy and Funding Specialist, you will lead the development, coordination, and execution of funding strategies that support key organizational initiatives across multiple regions. Your goal will be to identify high‑value funding opportunities, oversee complex applications, and guide cross‑functional teams through compliance, reporting, and performance tracking. Your success in this position will be demonstrated through increased funding outcomes, strong regulatory alignment, and an organization‑wide understanding of funding priorities and pathways.

Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain a North America–focused funding roadmap aligned with organizational goals and project timelines
  • Identify, assess, and track funding opportunities related to emission reductions across Canada, the United States, and Ireland
  • Coordinate information gathering and collaboration across project teams to support high‑quality funding submissions
  • Oversee reporting requirements and maintain accurate documentation for all applications
  • Monitor compliance and track performance metrics for funded projects
  • Provide ongoing support for the annual Inventory Management Plan (IMP) process and required verifications
  • Manage worklists, track required actions, and ensure timely completion of IMP deliverables
  • Support and mentor the new graduate rotational role participating in the IMP program
  • Review new or updated regulations provided by the Regulatory Compliance team and assess their impact on future project considerations

Your Skills

  • Strong ability to interpret and synthesize regulatory, funding, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills with experience supporting cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to support modelling and impact assessments
  • Detail‑oriented approach to documentation, tracking, and reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with varying timelines and stakeholders
  • Experience delivering training, educational sessions, or process support within operational or regulatory environments
  • Capacity to mentor, guide, and support junior or rotational staff
  • Proficiency in organizing complex processes such as funding applications, annual planning cycles, or verification programs
  • Proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel, or other dashboard platforms, along with data visualization, data modeling, data integration, automation, and data quality validation

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in funding strategy, grant management, regulatory affairs, compliance, or related strategic/operational roles
  • Experience working in regulated industries (energy, utilities, engineering, or public sector) considered an asset
