The Role The Pressure Pipe Welder position includes but is not limited to production welding of standard and custom products. Responsibilities will include the use of various hand tools, the fabrication of custom products from supplied drawings, fabrication of custom jigs and fixtures to produce production parts that meet customer specifications, as well as the fabrication of metal structures using jigs and fixtures in a high paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Supervisors and Lead Hands to support continuous improvements within work cells and achieve daily production goals, welding according to pre-set parameters using TIG, MIG, and flux core welding processes.
  • Read and follow drawings and blueprints to set up, tack, and weld components
  • Complete all required paperwork and necessary preparation work
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
  • Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records

What You Bring

  • Must possess a valid Class A Pressure Welding ticket
  • Thorough knowledge of welding practices and techniques
  • Able to read blueprints and drawings and follow instructions
  • Welding of stainless steel using GMAW considered an asset
  • CWB certification may be required
  • TIG welding experience with stainless steel and carbon steel is considered an asset
