Cardinal Health Canada is a crucial part of the Canadian healthcare supply chain, employing over 1300 people and supplying over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and professionals.
Cardinal Health's Gananoque facility, with over 450 employees and 119 years of Canadian history, manufactures life-impacting medical devices is seeking a full-time, permanent Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance of facilities, shop, utilities, and HVAC, as well as manufacturing equipment.
This role involves using multi-craft skills and may require setting up and operating processing equipment, troubleshooting, repairs, and conducting maintenance, as well as executing equipment qualifications.
Shift: Hours: Shifts will run on a 2-week basis from 7am to 7pm for days then from 7pm to 7am, for the night shift
Location: Gananoque, Ont
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planned Maintenance which includes but not limited to: scheduled maintenance on equipment and or facility
- Monitor and operate the facilities systems throughout the day. (Air conditioners, cooling towers, chillers etc.)
- Answer calls for support or repair of manufacturing equipment or facility
- Emergency Response Team for accidents, incidents relating at the plant
- Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
- Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues
- May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments
- Adheres to all quality guidelines
- Works with limited supervision
- Work occasionally involves reviewing output by work lead or supervisor
- May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
Education / Training and/or Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience, preferred
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience involving Mechanical or Electrical experience, preferred
