The Continuous Improvement Specialist plays a key role in advancing organizational excellence through the design, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives. This role supports a culture of continuous learning and innovation, ensures alignment with accreditation standards and provincial requirements, and promotes high-quality, safe patient care. The Specialist collaborates closely with clinical and administrative leaders to identify opportunities for improvement, facilitate change, and monitor outcomes.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, business, or quality management (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality improvement, performance measurement, or healthcare operations.
- Certification or training in Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent quality improvement methodology.
- Experience with accreditation processes (e.g. Accreditation Canada)
- Clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in a community hospital or similar healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of patient safety and risk management principles.
