As a Junior Business Analyst, you will assist finance staff with performing various tasks. Primary duties include:

  • Participate in completing accounting processes for items such as month end close, reporting and analysis.
  • Contribute to refining and improving accounting processes and documentation across different functional areas in Finance.
  • Conduct background research on finance related topics such as policies and best practices.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, financials reports and other documentation such as training manuals and reference guides.
  • Contribute to the completion and execution of special projects.

Qualifications

  • A High School diploma or equivalency (e.g., GED) and 3 - 6 courses recognized by Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
  • Preference will be given to candidate with 2 years of post-secondary education with a major in Business, Accounting or a related field.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials or an equivalent financial application would be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience and/or working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial and Supply Chain Management (FSCM), SAP Business Objects and Power BI would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate policies, a high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Compensation: Pay Grade 5 $31.27 - 41.80 per hour

Days of Work: This is a part-time position,

days of work vary and will be determined

based on operational needs.

Hours of work: This is a part-time position and

works 21 hours per week.
