DevOps Engineer

Four Eyes Financial is uniquely positioned to be North America's #1 provider of retail investment advisor technology. As we expand our team, we are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to help scale, secure, and automate the infrastructure that powers our Intelligent Compliance Platform.

The successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of our DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code, ensuring that our platform is performant, secure, and highly available in an agile DevOps environment.

Candidate must be located in New Brunswick.

Focus Areas

Infrastructure & Automation: Continuous learning and implementation of industry best practices.

• Build, enhance, and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless delivery of secure and high-quality code.
• Ensure security within our operational environments, simplifying the security experience for our users and engineers while improving our security posture.
• Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.

Monitoring, Security & Reliability: Balance security requirements with business needs.

• Enforce standard methodologies, processes and tools to ensure compliance to enterprise architecture and global information security policies.
• Improve the accessibility of security through automation, continuous integration pipelines and other means.
• Collaborate with security stakeholders to enforce best practices for access control, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning.
• Assist with regular security responsibilities for access reviews, vulnerability scanning and security testing.
• Provide security guidance and policies on maintaining a proactive security posture.
• Participate in incident response planning and post-mortem processes to continually improve platform stability.

Collaboration & Enablement: Work in a fast paced, lean start-up environment focused on continuous improvement.

• Point of contact for product teams as it relates to automation, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.

• Partner closely with development teams to improve build, test, and deployment processes.

• Willing to give and receive feedback on code, infrastructure, and policies.

• Takes initiative and can produce with little supervision.

• Supports others in achieving their objectives.

Qualifications

• Interest in a hands-on role related to engineering in a DevOps environment, with good knowledge in security.

• Knowledge of cloud security architecture and infrastructure.

• Understanding of common security principles and requirements with the ability to apply them to protect a range of technologies and information systems.

• Experience with security technologies commonly used in dynamic infrastructure environments.

• Knowledge in security areas such as identity and access management, network security, cryptography, application security and configuration management.

• Desire to work in a fast-growth start-up environment.

• Experience working with Amazon (AWS) Cloud Platform, AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) , and/or Gitlab.
