About the Job

Reporting to the Sales Shared Services Supervisor, the primary responsibility for the position is to provide administrative & sales support to the Regional Customer Development team while working within a shared services team. This position collaborates cross functionally with the account, field sales, brand, supply chain, warehouse & customer service. The position supports both the warehouse and DSD route to markets. This regional position is actively involved in building positive retailer and supplier relationships while actively participating in improving sales efficiencies, timeliness, accuracy and processes. Essential Functions:

Position Accountabilities

  • Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food).
  • Responsible for completing all assigned customer specific and sales administrative resource pool duties in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
  • Working with the CDM team, manage the end-to-end trade promotion management data entry and promotional follow up
  • Manage assigned account specific portals for all Customer submissions and follow ups
  • Work with Retail Development Team to ensure all Territory Managers are informed of all store level initiatives.
  • Support the development of Customer & Supplier presentation documents and line review preparations, including conducting competitive store shops and updating assortments to ensure alignment with Customer and Supplier needs and business goals.
  • Using Microsoft Excel and data from multiple sources (eg. BW, SAP, Nielsen, Customer data portals), generate reporting which will allow the team to effectively review the data for insights and make sound decisions quickly.
  • Maintain all internal documents and file folders.
  • Organize all required samples and perform additional tasks as needed, related to the role.
  • Assist with sales reporting and data management. Support the creation and distribution of sales performance reports, track sales activities, and manage data to aid in decision-making and performance analysis. Assist in promotional analysis, ROI calculations and forecasting.
  • Maintain safe work practices and safeguards all confidential company information.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • College diploma or University degree in business, marketing, or equivalent combined with 1-2 years of prior experience in a sales coordinator, office administrator or executive assistant role, preferably in the CPG industry.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be tactful, mature and flexible with good reasoning abilities and sound judgment. Strong command of the English language. French is an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • SAP experience, particularly with trade promotion management, is an asset
  • Experience with navigating and managing customer portals.
  • Quick to learn and apply in a fast-paced environment. Able to pivot work priorities to meet the dynamic demands of the business. Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Go Getter - high energy level, comfortable with being uncomfortable, ability to establish creditability and be decisive but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.
  • Excellent planning skills, with attention to detail so that workflow is managed efficiently and able to work independently of direct supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, doing so with a high level of integrity and excellent work ethic.
