About The Role
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a key role in managing cash flow and contributing to overall financial health. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including leadership, technical staff, and external clients across a variety of industries.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create and send accurate and timely invoices to customers for services provided;
- Process incoming payments from customers, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers, and apply them to the correct customer accounts;
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are accounted for and to identify and resolve any discrepancies;
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up with customers via phone, email, or other correspondence to secure timely payments;
- Process credit memos, refunds, or adjustments as needed for customers;
- Assess customer creditworthiness and manage credit policies to mitigate potential payment defaults;
- Manage various customer portals including uploading invoices and monitoring purchase order values and status;
- Prepare reports on accounts receivable aging, collections, and cashflow forecasts for management;
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring all receivables are accurately recorded.

Our Must Haves
- 2+ years of relevant experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar capacity;
- Certificate, diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field;
- Proficient using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook);
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Experience with ERP software (Sage, PeopleSoft, etc.) will be considered an asset.

- Salary: $55,000-$70,000 per year
