Position Summary We are seeking a detailed-oriented and proactive Account Receivable Specialist to manage the accounts receivable functions for Yvon Insulation and Laminated Glass Technology, while providing administrative support for Yvon Building Supply. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, cash collection, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe working environment by following Yvon’s health and safety guidelines.
- Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail
- Prepare credit application for new customers and set up the new customers in the ERP
- Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing
- Performs other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications
- The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role (one to three years of experience).
- Experience using Quickbooks or Business Central would be an asset.
Skills
- Strong excel knowledge.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
