As the IT Support Specialist, you will provide first-level support to all staff and assist the IT Department with maintenance and operational duties. This is a permanent full-time role based onsite at our Burlington head office (Mainway) . Typical hours are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Eastern Time , though some flexibility may be required as assigned to support in other time zones or for special events.

What You'll Do

  • Provide in-office IT support and coverage during business hours (Monday through Friday, starting at 8am).
  • Assist in maintaining the IT office, LAN room, and storage areas, ensuring efficient space utilization
  • Organize and manage inventory of IT equipment, including computers, peripherals, and other spare stock.
  • Responsible for managing technology infrastructure, including all workstations, production-related systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and service desk support via JIRA ticketing queues
  • Ensure that all requests for support are responded to in a reasonable time and executed accurately by staff, making changes to processes and procedures as required to ensure the appropriate support is provided
  • Provide internal customer service throughout the company by maintaining a close customer-business relationship and creating an environment where staff receives information and automation necessary to maximize productivity on a short and long-term basis
  • Computer hardware deployments, relocations, service, and repair
  • Provide systems access to in-office and remote users
  • Follow-up to ensure complete customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For

  • Post-secondary education in an IT-related field or completion of post-secondary education in an unrelated field coupled with direct experience in IT
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT environment where hardware, remote access, equipment set up, and 365 were elemental components in the day to day work
  • Relevant industry certifications would be considered an asset (i.e., PMP, A+, ITIL, MCSE or similar designations), though not required
  • Experience with management of Intune, Azure, and Office 365 considered an asset
  • 1+ years of working experience in a Microsoft Windows environment (Microsoft Office Suite / Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Windows 11, Remote Desktop Environments, Microsoft Active Directory)
  • Excellent ability to communicate and adapt communication style to customers
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Proactive approach, initiative, and adaptability
  • Excellent teamwork, cooperation, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of staff within the company
  • Willingness to work in an onsite position at our Burlington head office
  • Willingness to participate in some domestic travel within Canada for new clinic set-up or clinic IT changeovers (up to 15% of the time)
