Higher Talent is currently seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to join the leadership team at Vida Nova Recovery, located on the Salmonier Line in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Vida Nova Recovery Centre is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to guide our organization into its next stage of growth and impact.
Nestled in the serene, rural setting of Salmonier Line, Newfoundland and Labrador, Vida Nova is a private, residential addiction and mental health treatment centre. Our mission is simple yet profound: to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals on their recovery journey. Backed by a strong medical foundation and an interdisciplinary team, we are ready to grow — and we need an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader to help us get there.
The Opportunity
As CEO, you will take the helm of a growing organization, balancing strategic vision with day-to-day operational leadership. You will oversee all aspects of the centre, from clinical and support services to culinary and facility operations, while building strong relationships with staff, clients, partners, and the community.

What You’ll Do
- Lead Vida Nova’s strategic direction, growth, and development.
- Ensure smooth daily operations across all departments.
- Collaborate closely with medical and clinical leaders to deliver safe, effective care.
- Mentor and inspire a multidisciplinary team, fostering a trauma-informed, professional culture.
- Build partnerships with community organizations, funders, and referral networks to drive sustainable growth.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience, ideally in healthcare, residential treatment, or hospitality.
- Strong business and operational management skills, including budgeting and performance oversight.
- Experience in a start-up or growth-phase environment.
- Understanding of addiction recovery and mental health care is a strong asset.
- A leadership style rooted in empathy, accountability, and collaboration.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (MBA or similar is an asset).
