Position Summary A Software Developer at Vecima contributes to designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Vecima product software, with a focus on Linux-based software that is the control plane for Vecima's products. Products created include but are not limited to: broadband video processing, DOCSIS data and video transmission, and content delivery systems.
Duties And Responsibilities Engage with an Agile scrum team to:
- Design the system software.
- Plan sprint work.
- Execute chosen work.
- Review teammates’ work on Gerrit.
- Actively contribute to retrospectives for continuous improvement.
- Participate in grooming/refining the Jira product backlog.
- Estimate effort and time for upcoming work items.
- Participate in the mentoring of team members.
- Improve team’s knowledge and skills through collaboration and pair programming.
- Produce appropriate system documentation and artifacts stored on Confluence.
- Push code for review to central Git/Gerrit server regularly.
