Position Overview
We are seeking a mental health performance coach to provide dedicated coaching and mental health support to our Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Aeronautical Base Management (ABM) students. The successful candidate will work one-on-one with students aged 18 to 55, helping them manage stress, maintain focus, and develop resilience throughout their training.

The position is based in Cornwall, ON, with a fully equipped space designed for confidential and effective service delivery. This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), requiring 40 hours per week for a 7-month long contract.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one mental health counseling using evidence-base modalities of therapy and coaching to ATC and ABM students, focusing on stress management, resilience, and performance optimization.
- Conduct initial assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalized support plans.
- Offer strategies for coping with high-pressure training environments and maintaining emotional well-being.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards in all interactions.
- Document sessions and progress notes accurately in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with instructors and program staff to identify students who may benefit from additional support.
- Develop and deliver occasional workshops or group sessions on mental health topics relevant to student success.
Qualifications
- Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with the appropriate provincial regulatory body.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing individual counseling or coaching services.
- Strong understanding of stress management, resilience-building, and performance psychology.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Level Security Clearance.
