Receptionist – Shannon Falls Retirement Residence
Location: Squamish, British Columbia
Setting: Independent Living & Assisted Living

Shannon Falls Retirement Residence is seeking a full-time Receptionist/Clerk to join our team, serving as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff. If you’re passionate about making a difference and creating a safe, welcoming environment, we want to meet you!
What You’ll Do:

Greet and assist residents, families, visitors, and staff with warmth and professionalism

Answer and direct phone calls and inquiries
-
Perform clerical duties: filing, word processing, sorting/distributing mail
-
Manage office supplies and equipment (printers, fax, photocopiers)
-
Handle residents’ trust accounts, payments, reconciliations, and bank deposits
-
Maintain and update essential lists (emergency contacts, resident lists)
-
Book visitor suites, manage keys, and process related payments
-
Support shipping/receiving and restock supplies as needed
-
Keep accurate records for resident statistics, trust accounts, and petty cash
-
Participate in meetings, take minutes, and support training/orientation
-
Advocate for residents’ needs and maintain confidentiality
-
Assist with accounts payable, audits, and monthly payment slips
-
Promote and uphold health and safety standards
What You Bring:
-
Grade 12 education (recent related experience an asset)
-
Strong computer skills
-
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English)
-
Organizational and conflict resolution abilities
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-
Physical ability to perform job duties (lifting up to 30 lbs, sitting, walking, bending, etc.)

Commitment to resident safety and confidentiality

Criminal Records check required
