We are currently seeking a Senior Recruiter, based in Saint John, NB, to lead full-cycle recruitment and strengthen talent acquisition strategies across our organization.
As a Senior Recruiter, you will:
- Own full-cycle recruitment across four companies, ensuring an effective, consistent, and engaging candidate experience from intake through offer acceptance
- Support high-volume recruitment needs while also leading more specialized senior technical recruitment for and other business requirements
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand workforce needs, define role requirements, prioritize requisitions, and recommend practical recruitment strategies
- Proactively source, assess, and engage qualified candidates using multiple channels, including direct sourcing, referrals, job boards, social media, networking, and community partnerships
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs across technical, skilled trades, operational, professional, and leadership roles
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, training institutions, career centres, newcomer associations, and community partners to strengthen access to talent
- Represent the organization at career fairs, school events, newcomer employment events, and other recruitment outreach opportunities
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on interview planning, candidate assessment, selection practices, compensation considerations, and offer recommendations
- Track recruitment activity, pipeline health, hiring timelines, sourcing effectiveness, and market trends to support regular recruitment reporting and decision-making
- Champion accurate and consistent use of the applicant tracking system to support data integrity, compliance, reporting, and recruitment process improvement
- Support employer brand initiatives by developing recruitment outreach materials and promoting the organization as an employer of choice
Required Competencies:

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
-
5 to 8 years of progressive experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or workforce hiring, preferably in a fast-paced or multi-site environment
-
Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment across a variety of role types, including skilled trades, technical, operational, professional, and leadership positions
-
Strong sourcing capability and experience using applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, Indeed, job boards, social media, and other recruitment platforms
-
Experience advising hiring managers on recruitment strategy, candidate assessment, interview processes, and offer recommendations
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
-
Comfortable learning new technologies and adapting to evolving recruitment tools, systems, and processes

About Petro Service Limited
Petroservice is a service, distribution, installation and construction company in the petroleum and fluid handling industry, headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick.
From the beginning, we’ve remained focused on striving to provide the best service in the industry – building our products and service offerings to consistently meet our customers’ needs and expectations.
Our story begins in 1985, when we were a business unit within what was then known as Commercial Equipment. In these early days, we were a team of four employees – learning the ropes and building expertise.
In 1992, we opened our first facility in Saint John focused on rebuilding gas pumps, acting as a central location for equipment distribution, and as home base for our service technicians. From this location, we stepped out on our own, and in 1998 officially became Petro Service Limited. We are commonly referred to as Petroservice, our registered business name.
In our quest to provide next level service, we expanded our service offering in 2000 to include project management & construction capabilities and adding our Weights and Measures Accreditation in 2004. Petro Service Limited is accredited by Measurement Canada, an agency of Industry Canada, to perform inspections pursuant to the Weights and Measures Act.
We continue to plan and build for the future; the future of the industry, the future of our customers’ business needs.
In November 2017, J.A. Robinson Pump Service Ltd. joined the Petroservice family. Established in 1958 in Winnipeg, MB, J.A. Robinson Pump Service Ltd., specializing in the construction and maintenance of service stations, has grown to include many other services including car wash construction & maintenance, tank testing and fuel management.
