Pay range and compensation package: C$95/Hr. Duration: 12 Months Enhanced Reliability security clearance (Canada Level 1)
About the Role: The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting various database systems, including Cockroach DB and PostgreSQL, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Responsibilities: Enterprise DB / PostgreSQL administration and support Cockroach DB installation, administration, and support Database performance monitoring and tuning Create design documentation and runbooks, and advise/coach other technical team members Highly available, cross-region database design, architecture, and implementation, including high-performance storage expertise - cross-site data replication (RAFT), backup/restore, and disaster recovery Performance and failover testing, data consistency/validation Data security and access control Minimum 3 years experience in hands-on consulting delivery and support in a client-facing environment, with emphasis on SME-level administration and troubleshooting skills
Required Skills: Enterprise DB / PostgreSQL administration and support Cockroach DB installation, administration, and support Database performance monitoring and tuning Data security and access control
Preferred Skills: Scripting and automation for install/config, maintenance/support Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 Kubernetes/Docker/OpenShift Banking/financial sector experience, especially payments
