About The Role. We are seeking an ambitious, curious individual with a passion for AI to join our Python development team for a four-month term starting in May 2026. In this role, you will actively contribute to implementing MCPs, APIs, and intelligent agents that integrate with widely used social media platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn, as well as other business applications, including Google Ads and Salesforce. You will gain hands-on experience utilizing modern frameworks and tools such as Python, FastAPI, FastMCP, and Kubernetes.

Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide targeted technical solutions, conduct unit testing, and troubleshoot to ensure high-quality deliverables. This position provides the opportunity to make a measurable impact on McCain’s strategic initiatives, while further developing your technical and teamwork skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

The internship will take place from May through August 2026 at our Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada office. We have a hybrid work schedule in which our co-op students collaborate in person with their teams at least three days a week, with the remaining days worked remotely or in the office. In addition to the work performed in the internship, you’ll have opportunities for professional development, networking, and mentorship to help you build skills and confidence for your future career.

What You’ll Be Doing.

  • This position will be based in our Florenceville office, with the expectation of working onsite/in-office three days a week.
  • Implement MCPs, APIs, and Agents related to Social Media apps like Facebook and LinkedIn, as well as other apps like Google Ads and Salesforce. You are going to be using Python, FastAPI, FastMCP and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful.

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Proficient in Python programming, with practical experience developing, testing, and troubleshooting modern applications.
  • Understanding of relevant frameworks and platforms such as FastAPI, FastMCP, and Kubernetes; previous exposure is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and a strong willingness to learn and integrate emerging technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to articulate technical concepts effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of analyzing issues and proposing robust solutions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, contributing positively to group objectives and shared success.

About The Team. This position is a part of the Global Data and Analytics tea. Their focus is to deliver BI artifacts that enable the business to leverage data effectively for decision-making, as well as to deliver Power Apps and flows to streamline business processes.

Compensation Package: $23.00 - $26.00 CAD hourly wage equivalent, paid salary. The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
