The successful candidate will be involved in the construction monitoring, QA/QC monitoring, compaction testing, and field sampling. Working on various projects around the city and in the laboratory. About Us

Our projects are diverse and include, geotechnical/civil engineering, QA/QC construction monitoring, drill monitoring, geo-
environmental monitoring, site investigations, foundation inspections, and soil and concrete lab
testing. We work across different industries including open-pit mining environments and vital municipal work sites.

These roles are full-time, field-based positions that require a deep alignment with Terracon's core values: Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, and Entrepreneurism (S.I.T.E.). This is a contract role until December 2025.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Conducting field inspections, earthwork, concrete testing, and piling inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards

• Monitoring and documenting construction activities to verify that they meet design specifications and regulatory requirements

• Providing client representatives with field and laboratory testing results and monitoring subcontractor adherence to design specifications

• Coordinating with project team members, including engineers and contractors, to ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards

• Performing quality control testing and reporting on the installation of construction

What We’re Looking For

• Current enrolled or recent graduate of the Civil Engineering diploma program

• Experience and knowledge in material testing and civil construction is preferred

• Valid CCIL Concrete certification considered an asset

• Effective verbal and written communication skills to document findings and interact with team members and clients

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

• Eagerness to embrace new challenges and learn new skills

• Strong commitment to safety, knowledge of safety regulations, and experience in implementing safety procedures

Working Conditions, Schedule, and Physical Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in Canada on an ongoing basis

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and 2 years experience in the industry field

• Working schedule up to 12-hour days; day and night shifts

• Physical ability to perform field work as required. A fitness for work test will be performed before hiring

• Successfully complete a drug & alcohol test
