Job Title: Automation Lead
Location: PCS CA~TORONTO
Years of Experience: 10-15 Years
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Automation Lead to spearhead our end-to-end UI and backend automation strategy. The ideal candidate will design and architect scalable automation frameworks while providing technical leadership to offshore automation engineers. This role requires a strong background in Java and a deep understanding of automation best practices, particularly within the banking or financial services sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of UI and backend automation strategies.
- Design and architect scalable automation frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to offshore automation engineers.
- Define automation standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.
- Review automation scripts to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Coordinate with onsite stakeholders, product owners, and developers to identify automation scope and prepare an automation roadmap.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage automation-related risks, blockers, and escalations.
- Provide regular status updates and metrics to leadership.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
- Expertise in Java and automation framework design.
- Experience using IntelliJ IDEA.
- Strong knowledge of Maven build and dependency management.
- Experience in UI and backend/API automation.
- Knowledge of test frameworks (TestNG / Cucumber).
- Experience working in banking or financial services projects.
- Strong understanding of test automation best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Experience with API testing tools (REST Assured, Postman).
- Database validation using SQL.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
