Key Responsibilities:
Receiving 40%

  • Receive all incoming shipments inspecting for damages, confirming product delivered matches paperwork upon receipt.
  • Answer questions about shipments and processes.
  • Process all required paperwork for incoming shipments.
  • Maintain accurate records for reporting and tracking of goods.
  • Manage inventory of supplies.
  • Track all shipments and verify packing slips to products received before acceptance.
  • Sort, place in storage and distribute incoming shipments.
  • Deliver material to production lines with hands & /or forklift.

Customer Satisfaction and Accuracy 25%

  • Work with team members to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in the inventory and receiving process.
  • Provide feedback to Line Manager regarding every issue identified.
  • Maintain good relations with vendors and shipping companies.
  • Support and teach other Associates when asked to help.

Quality Control 20%

  • Ensure accuracy of product received.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness in all waybills and bills of landing.
  • Complete all required reports and documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain department, equipment, company materials in a clean, efficient and professional manner.

Health & Safety 15%

  • Demonstrate awareness of proper warehouse and production safety procedures.
  • Follow all loss prevention policies and procedures manner.
  • Collaborate with the continuous improvement team, and always look for improved ways of performing your duties.
  • Identify and demonstrate use of personal protective equipment.
  • Keep work area free from clutter, recycling waste, and removing all dust daily.
  • Report all activities and hazards that may create an unsafe work environment.

Your experience is:

  • 3+ years experience in receiving.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience working in a production facility is an asset.
  • Skilled with computer applications used in the shipping/receiving process.
  • Basic math and recording abilities.
  • Knowledge of waybills and bills of landing.
  • Highly skilled with methods of weight measurement and verification.

Competencies – you’re good at:

  • Communicate effectively in English both verbal and written.
  • The ability to move around the plant floor and maneuver materials and equipment.
  • Skilled with all equipment used in inventory movement.
  • Ability to multitask, organize your time and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Comfortable with high volume workload with the ability to 'roll up your sleeves" and jump in.
  • Strong work ethic, action oriented and desire to achieve excellence.
  • High comfort level working in a fast-paced team environment that is constantly changing.
  • Pressure to produce tangible results and complete projects within tight timelines.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Willing to learn new things and take initiative to ask questions.

Working conditions:

  • Lifting and/or carrying anywhere from 0 lbs to 50 lbs.
  • Work in a production facility.
  • Repetitive movements and work.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Involves sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping on a regular basis.
  • Walking near to heavy tool and moving machinery.
  • Exposure to all types of weather conditions, and dirt, dust and noise.
  • Flexibility in scheduling depending on production demands - able to work day &/or evening shift.
  • Opportunity for overtime on short notice due to operational needs.
