Residents enjoy access to 260 km of recreation trails for hiking, skiing, and biking, a ski hill within the City, and a lively arts and culture scene, making Kimberley an ideal place to live and work.

FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE
This position offers a flexible schedule, including the opportunity to participate in an earned days off (EDO) program. We recognize the importance of work-life balance and strive to accommodate individual needs wherever possible.

DUTIES:
The City of Kimberley’s Engineering Department supports the general operations of the City, being involved in financials, communications, planning, parks and facilities, roads and solid wastes, utilities, and leads a large portion of the capital construction for the City. The City is looking for a Civil Engineering student to assist in its Engineering Department. under the general supervision and direction of the Project Manager and other department engineering staff, this position will provide Civil Engineering support including design, survey, administration, inspection, and and field work, survey design, and inspections.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education related to the field of Engineering, possess a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Knowledgeable use of survey equipment (i.e. RTK GNSS, total station, laser and/or sight level, survey rod, and magnetic locator) and general equipment (tape measure, distometer, sledgehammers, shovels, large format printers, and general use vehicles) is considered an asset. Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD would also be considered an asset.

Qualifications must be outlined with verifications of education/certification attached.
