We are currently recruiting for the following role in our Edmonton office:

Hospitality & Facilities Assistant (12 Month Contract)

Essential Functions The Hospitality and Facilities Assistant will closely work with the Hospitality and Facilities Coordinator, taking on various key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring smooth hospitality services, including delivering and setting up food and beverages for meetings, tidying meeting rooms, and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of boardrooms and ensuring they are well-supplied.
  • Keeping coffee stations and the lunchroom clean, stocked, and ready for use, including washing dishes and restocking supplies.
  • Assisting with the setup and takedown of meeting areas to facilitate smooth transitions between events.
  • Collaborating with the Office Services team (reception, mail room, audiovisual) to enhance client experience and provide coverage during lunch breaks, staff vacations, or absences due to illness.
  • Assisting in coordinating premises maintenance with external vendors to uphold facility standards.
  • Fulfilling any other necessary tasks as required to support operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospitality-related industry is necessary.
  • Knowledge of reception, hosting, banquets, audiovisual support, and mailroom operations in a professional services or office setting is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing priorities and requirements daily.
  • Takes initiative, self-motivated, and requires minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working effectively independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must uphold high standards for cleanliness.
  • Ability to perform some heavy lifting (up to 20 pounds).
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Outlook and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to work overtime or outside of core business hours as necessary.
