The Role

Woodview’s Halton Autism Services is currently seeking a qualified, skilled, and experienced individual to deliver Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)-based services both in-centre and in the community as part of our Halton Autism Services team.

Key Responsibilities (May Include but are not limited to):

  • Direct ABA service delivery: Work one-to-one and in small groups with children and youth with autism; service hours are generally Monday–Friday 8:30am–4:30pm with evening shifts 5:00pm–8:00pm and Saturday 8:30am–12:30pm, as required.
  • Program implementation & teamwork: Implement programs under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and/or Senior Therapist as part of a team-based environment.
  • Data & materials: Keep accurate data, complete graphing, and prepare/create materials for clients.
  • Program quality & culture: Provide quality and supportive programming while contributing to a positive, team-based working environment.
  • Coverage support: Be available to cover sessions for vacation and staff illness in addition to regularly scheduled sessions each week.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months practical/applied experience in ABA
  • Professional experience working with children with autism
  • Knowledge of ABA principles obtained through completion of the Autism and Behavioural Sciences certificate (or equivalent)
  • Access to a vehicle, valid driver’s licence, and vehicle insurance (ability to transport clients)

Assets:

  • Practical experience collecting, graphing, and analyzing data
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification
  • Experience providing parent coaching and/or running groups
  • French as a second language
