About the role
Position Summary
Texada Software is seeking a technically adept and customer-focused Technical Professional Services Consultant (TPSC) to lead the technical aspects of our post-sales customer engagement. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of technical components within customer onboarding and implementation projects. You will be responsible for the technical discovery, design, and successful delivery of integrations and system interoperability. The TPSC will act as a full-cycle technical subject matter expert, guiding customers from the initial technical discovery through to the final delivery of their solution, ensuring technical feasibility, accuracy in scoping, and a seamless transition to our Technical Services team for implementation.
How you will be contributing
Strategic & Technical Leadership
- Lead technical discovery workshops with customer IT teams to define and document requirements.
- Validate integration feasibility, data models, authentication, infrastructure, and system prerequisites.
- Create comprehensive technical requirements documents, API/data mapping diagrams, and technical solution outlines.
- Act as the bridge between the customer's technical needs and Texada's solutions, ensuring that the proposed technical architecture is scalable and meets the client's objectives.
Project & Onboarding Delivery
- Translate customer requirements into detailed technical build tasks for the implementation team.
- Configure technical product features and modules to align with the solution design.
- Oversee and support the build of integrations, collaborating closely with Technical Services Engineers.
- Validate technical deliverables with the customer, ensuring that the solution meets the documented requirements and quality standards.
- Manage and execute the technical aspects of the project from scoping through to delivery, ensuring continuity and reducing rework.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Consultants to ensure that the technical solution aligns with the customer's business workflows and functional requirements.
- Work with the Sales team during the pre-sales phase to establish business credibility and provide technical feasibility input.
- Collaborate with Technical Services Engineers to ensure a smooth handover and provide support during the build and deployment phases.
- Serve as the trusted technical advisor for the customer throughout the project lifecycle.
Metrics & Accountability
- Track and report on key performance indicators including:
- On-time technical deliverables
- Reduced integration defects and change requests
- Minimal rework during implementation
- Successful and timely technical handoffs
- Use data to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
Work location and travel
- Remote/Hybrid work environment (primarily remote work with occasional travel to Mississauga office).
- Up to 25% travel required
- Candidates should be authorized to work in Canada or US without restriction or sponsorship.
What we are hoping to find in your background
- 3+ years of experience in technical consulting, solutions engineering, or systems integration, with a strong focus on customer-facing projects and integrations.
- Deep technical expertise with a background as a systems integrator, solutions engineer, or a similar role with a focus on technical architecture and integrations.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, ETL processes, integration patterns, data models, and security protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to produce technical requirements documents, design documentation, and API/data mapping diagrams.
- Experience in scripting, product configuration, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Exceptional technical communication skills with the ability to lead discovery workshops with customer IT leads, system architects, and integration developers.
- A proactive approach to leveraging new technologies like AI to improve velocity and deliver a better overall customer experience.
