Design & Implement Engagement Strategies: Conceptualize and execute awesome initiatives that consistently boost morale, enhance internal communication, and solidify a strong, positive company culture across all locations.

Recognition Programs: Develop and manage meaningful employee recognition and reward programs that celebrate success and reinforce our core values.

Employee Communications: Oversee and refine internal communication channels to ensure transparency, clarity, and consistency in messaging from leadership to frontline staff.

Pulse of the Organization: Proactively measure employee satisfaction and address cultural hotspots to ensure a great vibe is maintained throughout the organization.
People Protector & Compliance Champion

Employee Relations Expertise: Serve as the first-line expert and trusted advisor for all employee relations matters, providing guidance to managers and staff on conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and performance improvement plans. You must be a smooth operator when it comes to sensitive employee investigations.

Legal Compliance: Be the go-to expert for all provincial and federal employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act (ESA). You will ensure all company policies and procedures are fully compliant and ethically applied.

Health & Safety Leadership: Be the champion and administrator of our company-wide Health & Safety program. This includes managing H&S committees, conducting regular site audits, ensuring proper training, and managing WSIB/incident reporting to maintain a safe working environment.
Talent Scout & Trainer: Development and Growth

Performance Management: Own and continuously refine the performance review cycle, ensuring a fair, objective, and development-focused process that links individual goals to company strategy.

Learning & Development (L&D) Strategy: Lead the creation and execution of our Learning & Development strategy. This includes identifying core competencies, curating and delivering training programs (leadership, soft skills, compliance), and managing external training partnerships.

Career Planning: Facilitate career pathing and succession planning efforts to develop our internal stars and ensure a robust talent pipeline for future leadership roles.
Recruitment Expert

Full-Cycle Recruitment: Own and manage the entire hiring cycle for all roles—from initial job posting and candidate sourcing to interviewing, offer negotiation, and final selection.

Candidate Experience: Ensure an excellent and professional experience for all candidates, regardless of outcome, maintaining Bridgehead's' reputation as a top employer.

Smooth Onboarding: Design and deliver a welcoming, efficient, and comprehensive onboarding experience that seamlessly integrates new team members into their roles and our company culture.
Admin & People & Culture Systems Manager

Payroll & Benefits Support: Collaborate closely with the Finance department to ensure our payroll and group benefits administration runs smoothly, accurately, and on time. This includes managing enrollment and changes, and annual renewals.

Policy Management: Maintain, update, and communicate our People & Culture policies, handbooks, and standard operating procedures, ensuring they are current, understandable, and accessible to all staff.

People & Culture HRIS Management: Maintain the integrity and accuracy of employee data within our People & Culture Information System.
What You'll Need to Knock It Out of the Park

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Masters Degree in HR or related field preferred

Experience: 7+ years hands-on experience as a People & Culture Generalist, People & Culture Specialist, or similar role. Experience working with multiple, distinct sites (i.e., retail locations, production facilities) is a distinct advantage. Retail or hospitality experience is a strong bonus.

Legal & Safety Acumen: You know the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Occupational Health & Safety (H&S) regulations and best practices like the back of your hand.

Exceptional People Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven knack for managing sensitive conversations and building rapport at all levels of the organization.

Organizational Mastery: A demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and complex projects at once in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Mobility & Connection: A willingness to travel regularly to our locations to hang out with the team! You understand that building culture requires face-time and being present where the work happens. A valid G drivers license with a clean driving record and a reliable mode of transportation.
**The Nitty-Gritty (Working Conditions)**This is a Hybrid gig, mostly office-based at 130 Anderson Street and traveling to our retail locations

You’ll be traveling regularly to our various Coffeehouse locations.
