Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a busy food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing restaurant workflows, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Prior experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, and hospitality is highly valued to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant performance.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, serving, and cleaning procedures
- Oversee food handling and safety compliance in accordance with health regulations
- Manage team members through interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Lead by example in food industry best practices, including food safety and hospitality standards
- Manage restaurant workflow during peak hours to optimize efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure positive dining experiences
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed, including cooking and food presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff
- Background in restaurant management or hospitality preferred; hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Leadership qualities with experience in interviewing and hiring new team members
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and standards in the food industry
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is essential
