THE POSITION Keyera is looking for a Maintenance & Turnaround Scheduler to support the effective planning and execution of maintenance and turnaround activities across its operations. This role plays a key part in optimizing maintenance workflows and enabling the success of Asset Management & Reliability (AMR) processes. The Scheduler will help ensure that all activities are aligned with operational priorities, safety standards, and overall corporate objectives.
This is a full-time, on-site position based on a 9/80 work schedule . Preference will be given to local candidates who are able to commute daily to the site.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain preliminary, weekly, and long-range schedules (up to one year) for maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance and major work scopes
- Prepare detailed turnaround schedules, including shutdown and startup timelines, and maintain records for future planning
- Coordinate with site stakeholders to ensure schedules align with operational priorities and available resources
- Facilitate daily service request reviews with OMC and Discipline Leads to validate and prioritize work
- Lead weekly schedule review meetings and update work orders based on outcomes
- Monitor and adjust labour availability with craft leads to ensure balanced resource allocation
- Facilitate service request prioritization and adjust weekly schedules to accommodate break-in work.
- Track and monitor weekly schedule compliance in alignment with OE 4.03 standards
- Act as the site gatekeeper for the work order backlog and generate monthly stale work order reports in Maximo
- Manage MOC workflows and schedule associated work orders
- Support the planning function with data integrity checks and provide coverage when required
- Communicate effectively and maintain strong collaboration with Maintenance, Operations, and Support Teams
- Demonstrate and promote Keyera’s Cultural Behaviors and Corporate Values
- Ensure all required training and competencies are current and compliant with company standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance setting.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance scheduling, preferably in industrial or energy sectors.
- Experience in industrial maintenance/ operations is considered an asset.
- Must have experience and strong working knowledge in Maximo 7.6
- Must have experience and strong working knowledge in Primavera P6
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and lead scheduling efforts.
- Experience in turnaround planning and scheduling is an asset.
- Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and corporate values.
