BOXX Modular (Canada) rents, leases and sells temporary and permanent modular buildings, including standard buildings ready for immediate delivery and custom-designed solutions. We work with our customers to design and deliver customized solutions, and provide additional services such as delivery and installation, furniture rentals and other add-ons.

BOXX Modular is looking for a Master Data and Accounts Payable Specialist in Calgary, AB. This role is in office with 20% flexibility to work from home. This role will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data within our ERP environment and other integrated systems, ex: Salesforce. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data accuracy and consistency as we transition to NetSuite.

Working closely with those in the business unit and customers, as well as Corporate Accounts Payable, Finance, Operations, and IT, the Master Data Specialist ensures vendor, project, item, and financial data are structured properly to support purchasing, invoicing, reporting, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized professional with ERP and Accounts Payable experience, skilled in data accuracy, governance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Duties And Responsibilities Master Data Management

  • Review and maintain vendor, customer, item master data and the impact of activity code records within NetSuite.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Review and validate data change requests in alignment with approval workflows.
  • Maintain standardized naming conventions and data structures.
  • Focus on reduction of duplicates within the system
  • Perform routine audits to identify duplicate or inaccurate records.

Accounts Payable Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Corporate AP to ensure vendor master data accuracy (tax IDs, payment terms, addresses).
  • Validate purchase order to invoice matching and support vendor onboarding processes for documentation compliance.
  • Troubleshoot vendor-related system or payment issues linked to master data.
  • Ensure proper setup of vendors to support 1099, tax reporting, and audit requirements.

ERP Transition & System Support

  • Support data cleansing, migration, and validation activities during the NetSuite implementation.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) related to master data.
  • Assist in documenting processes and establishing data governance standards.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and workflow improvements
  • Ensure segregation of duties and compliance with financial controls.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in master data management, ERP systems, finance operations, or Accounts Payable support.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, modular construction, or project-based environment preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems; experience with NetSuite or ERP implementations is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of vendor lifecycle management, AP processes, and financial controls.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of data accuracy and integrity.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze and validate large data sets.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, AP, Operations, and IT.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and internal control requirements.
