About the role
GFL Environmental - Brantford is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to support and streamline daily service activities while ensuring operational accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role serves as a central point of coordination between Operations, Laboratory, Logistics, Fleet, and Billing to ensure efficient workflows and seamless service delivery.
Key Responsbilites:

Support schedule services and customer service changes, ensuring completion in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Act as a key liaison between Dispatch, Laboratory, and Operations to verify and track incoming waste inventories.

Accurately document the receipt of incoming waste using manifests, bills of lading, and work orders within OMS.

Complete waste receiving processes in OMS, including scanning and attaching all required drivers documentation and support preparing files for billing review.

Support dispatch service calls and routes based on designated routing plans and driver locations.

Perform end-of-day driver check-ins to ensure all paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.

Distribute, collect, and review route sheets to ensure proper end-of-day data entry.

Prepare purchase orders and assist with scheduling outbound facility shipments.

Track on-site waste inventory and ensure documentation accuracy for outgoing shipments in coordination with Logistics and Operations.

Maintain and update the driver’s training matrix to reflect role-based, regulatory, and company-required training.

Monitor upcoming, expired, and overdue driver’s training certifications and notify leadership as required.

Support onboarding activities for new hires, including training coordination and documentation.

Enter, update, and maintain accurate fleet maintenance data within the maintenance management system.

Support the Fleet Coordinator by ensuring all maintenance records and required documentation are complete, accurate, and current.

Work closely with Fleet, Logistics, and Operations teams to reconcile data discrepancies and maintain system accuracy.

Record and distribute driver documentation - reported information to appropriate departments.

Support compliance with environmental, transportation, safety, and company regulatory requirements.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Key Competencies:
- Post-secondary education in business administration or related fields is considered an asset.
- Desire and motivation to gain knowledge about the industry in multiple facets to develop professional skills within the waste management space;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft and Google.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Works with routing specialists to optimize routes.
- Fields incoming calls / emails from customers.
- Records and documents information from drivers and distributes them to appropriate departments.
