The Manager, Project and Process Improvement is responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, streamline business processes, and ensure successful project execution. This role combines lean six-sigma methodology with hands-on project management to drive continuous improvement and deliver measurable and sustainable results across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through completion following a gated approach, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Expert in process improvement and process design, drives and closes initiatives utilizing the best Continuous Improvement technics and approaches such as Lean Six Sigma or Agile.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and within scope.
- Collaborate with department heads and teams to gather business requirements, define project scope and measure baseline.
- Lead problem-solving and decision making at the initiative level to ensure quality throughout the project life cycle.
- Identify project risk and issues, implement mitigating actions to remove roadblocks and escalate as required.
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on project progress, risks, and improvement outcomes.
- Analyze existing workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Quantify potential benefits to support recommendations for change to business practices and processes.
- Develop anticipated cost of change for the business case completion and ROI calculation. Present business cases to ACM senior leadership as required.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement across departments.
- Support the Business units in establishing and tracking KPIs to measure the effectiveness and sustainability of their process changes and project outcomes.
- Develop and deploy change management strategies, ensuring adoption and sustainability of new processes and systems.
- Benchmark best practices and serve as a key advisor for the Manager, Business Transformation and BU Leaders in establishing the best change strategy.
- Communicate opportunities for frontline innovation and best practice replication.
- Mentor and support team members in project management and process improvement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations during project and process execution.
- Utilize data and analytics tools to support decision-making and monitor performance trends.
- Work in collaboration with the Business Process Managers and Regulatory Compliance to document processes, including process maps, and coordinate control manual updates to reflect most current processes related to each BU.
- Train and coach the different teams with learnings from initiatives & best practices and provide technical support to the project teams in alignment with Business Transformation Tools and Methodologies.
- Perform all other duties as required to support the team.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is an asset).
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in project management and/or process improvement roles.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and driving operational improvements.
- Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement.
Certifications (preferred but not required):
- Project Management Professional (CAMP, PMP)
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or other Agile certifications
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Sense of initiative, self-discipline and proactive thinking.
- Strong sense of collaboration and teamwork.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira) and process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).

- Data-driven mindset with experience using KPIs and metrics to measure success.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, BPM and ERP systems
- Ability to travel.
- Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
