Enabling Healthcare Across Networks of Central East (ENHANCE) Ontario (also referred to here as “EO”) is a not-for-profit corporate entity which will provide centralized IT services to its seven (7) member hospitals (Campbellford Memorial Hospital, Haliburton Highlands Health Services, Lakeridge health, Northumberland Hills Hospital, Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Ross Memorial Hospital, and Scarborough Health Network) to manage and operate a set of shared digital assets. This will enable its 7 member hospitals across 14 sites to deliver high quality and safe patient care using the shared Epic Clinical Information System (“CIS”) to over 1.5 million patients residing in both rural and urban communities located in the Central East region of Ontario.
Job Description Position Overview:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, will implement, manage and support Security Infrastructure and policies to ensure the organization cyber security maturity goals are met.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain cyber security systems within the organizational infrastructure
- Monitor and assess business needs against security concerns and recommend changes to enhance information systems security
- Review and enhance activities for IT risks control, ensuring that operations and applications are compliant with security procedures, systems, and policies.
- Lead information security assessment and testing, including penetration testing, vulnerability mitigation, threat modeling, authentication, access, and authorization controls.
- Review incoming technology and vendors to ensure due diligence was completed.
- Evaluation of new systems, services and vendors for security due diligence
- Liaise with similar organizations to ensure industries standards are being maintained at the hospital and to prepare for experiences or incidents that have happened elsewhere
- Work with existing Technical team to ensure all security policies and procedures are implemented
- Monitor the systems for vulnerabilities.
- Manage Security awareness training
- Educating the Regional / CE CIS user base to protect against people vectored cyber attacks
- Work with regional partners to ensure shared systems are secure and we are prepared for emerging threats
- Security and incident management
- Disaster Recovery review
- Security Policy review
- Other Duties as assigned
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in relevant technology field.
- 5+ years work experience managing Cyber Security infrastructure in an enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of enterprise network, cyber security systems, vulnerabilities and support requirements.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in network security, network protocols and functionality including TCP/IP, Active Directory, Domain Name Services, FTP/SCP, IIS administration, and HTTP.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Windows infrastructure design and administration
- Demonstrated skills in Cloud Security, hardware or software load balancing solutions, major SIEM solution knowledge and End-point Detection and Response (EDR) technologies.
