Check links and content prior to the start of the course, update resources as needed, communicate with students regularly, mark assignments, monitor student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, manage and review exam submissions as required, finalize official grades.
Create an outline for the lab day(s), submit packing list(s) to lab in a timely manner, prepare the room and supplies prior to the start time and cleanup afterwards, teach and demonstrate related skills, provide scenarios and answer student’s questions, complete performance testing as required, submit any required paperwork to Continuing Education.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Level II Dental Assisting Program.

Current License to practice Dental Assisting in Saskatchewan.

Min. 2 years recent and relevant (2 years within the last 5 years) dental assisting experience in a dental office.

Comprehensive knowledge of current dental assisting principles and techniques-up to date with current dental assisting courses.

Recent experience in teaching dental assisting skills and/or a recent experience in a clinical environment.

Ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education to assist learners with the required knowledge and skills.

Preference will be given to current Saskatchewan Polytechnic faculty.

Demonstrates valuing diversity.
