NANCY CAIN
Vice-Principal - Jaanimmarik High School
FUNCTION & DUTIES:
Assists the Office Agent(s)of the Department;
Keeps the inventory & organization of Materials up to date;
Data entry duties includes (file system, invoices, printing instructions, update inventory etc.);
Responsible for distribution of KSB material orders, packing slips and picking;
Prepares orders for shipping, labeling, packing, request for transport and filing;
Operates a number of Printers in the department and makes routine maintenance;
Prepare job ticket(s), image editing; & preflight;
Verifies incoming stock; Inventory office supplies, paper etc;
Operates machines used for punching, binding, cutting, addressing and inserting documents;
Helps in training new employee(s), summer students, etc;
Performs all other related tasks when requested by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Secondary 5 Diploma or have a diploma or attestation of studies recognized by the Board.
The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in computer data entry;
Knowledge of offices Microsoft office software;
Fluency in 2 of the 3 working languages of the Board (Inuktitut, French, and English);
Must be able to lift 30-kilogram boxes.
ASSETS:
Knowledge of Filemaker Pro, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro.
WORK SCHEDULE:
35 hours/week from Monday to Friday.
CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:
In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff, this position belongs to job category 4102: from $22.36 to $25.00 an hour depending on qualification and experience. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.

About Kativik School Board
The Kativik Ilisarniliriniq, the school board of Nunavik, was created in 1975, under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA).
Under the JBNQA, the Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is granted the power and jurisdiction to develop and deliver specific educational services and programs consistent with Inuit culture. The mission of the Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is therefore twofold. On the one hand, it acts as a regular regional school board for all Nunavik residents. On the other hand, it also acts as an exclusive Inuit institution with unique powers and jurisdictions that aim to protect, maintain, and develop the Inuit language, culture, and way of life.
Since 1978, the Kativik Ilisarniliriniq has been the exclusive provider of academic services to the population of Nunavik. The education programs developed by the school board are offered in all schools of the 14 Nunavik communities, in Inuktitut as first language and in French and English as second languages. The school board operates 17 primary and secondary schools as well as 5 adult education center.
