Microsoft Fabric Data Platform (Primary Responsibility)

• Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Fabric Pipelines, Notebooks, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, and Warehouse environments.
• Build robust data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows (ETL/ELT).
• Define and maintain the lakehouse architecture, including zone standardization, structural consistency, metadata management, and schema evolution.
• Build, optimize, and maintain semantic models (DAX, relationships, aggregations, incremental refresh). Implement and maintain deployment pipelines across environments (Dev Test- Prod) for Fabric artifacts.

Data Quality & Monitoring

• Implement automated data validation, anomaly detection, and data drift monitoring mechanisms.
• Build data quality dashboards and proactive alerting systems.
• Own data governance practices, including data lineage, documentation, and reliability standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, Quality Assurance, Finance, Sales, and IT teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work with IT on access management, infrastructure, and environment readiness.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and best practices within the Data & Technology division.
• Support data architecture for Power Apps and Power Automate to ensure clean models and reliable integrations.
• Optimize existing data flows and help reduce technical debt in critical automations.

WHAT MAKES YOU OUR CHAMPION…

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Hands-on mastery of Microsoft Fabric (Pipelines, Notebooks, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows, Workspaces).
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling principles.
• Proven experience building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, medallion architecture, incremental processing, and performance optimization.
• Experience implementing data quality frameworks and monitoring systems.
• Solid knowledge of Git workflows and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Power Apps / Power Automate data architecture (asset).
• Experience with forecasting or machine learning workflows using Fabric Notebooks (asset).
• Experience in regulated industries (cannabis, CPG, manufacturing, etc.) (asset).
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Databricks (asset).
• High level of autonomy and ownership.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to propose scalable solutions and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Strong commitment to building reliable, robust, and sustainable data systems.
